PANDORA has supported Breast Cancer charities in New Zealand since the company started in 2004. We feel that because Breast Cancer touches the lives of so many women and their families that the work of these charities plays a vital role. Their aim is ultimately to find a cure for Breast Cancer and in the meantime, to support women who have this disease in as many ways as possible.
One in ten women in New Zealand will develop breast cancer at some stage in their life
75% of these women will be over 50 years of age
25% of cases still occur before the age of 50
Each year, we donate 15% of the sales of our gold and silver breast cancer beads to The National Breast Cancer Foundation in New Zealand.
PANDORA is fully committed to the on-going fight against breast cancer and we are pleased to announce that during 2008 PANDORA successfully raised $27,821.10 for the New Zealand National Breast Cancer Foundation.
We are aiming to increase this significantly this year.
We thank our strong retailer network and our PANDORA customers for their support and positive attitude towards this very worthy cause.
We are pleased to announce our most recent involvement with Breast Cancer Charities – helping Krystal Barter as she launches Pink Hope, a charity that is dedicated to helping younger women who suffer from the disease.
This year, a proportion of Pink Ribbon bead proceeds will go to Krystal’s new charity.
